All Chartered Surveyors in private practice are required by the Rules of Conduct of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to take out Professional Indemnity Insurance with an ‘Approved RICS Insurer’. These rules require minimum levels of indemnity based on a firm’s fee income.
For firms who undertake or have historic exposure to surveying and valuation work, the insurers require information on the numbers, geographical locations and a detailed summary of any on-going client contracts and their size. Hera Indemnity has been working with Chartered Surveyors across the country for many years and understands these business complexities and the possible exposure to construction and property markets to ensure the insurance is fit for purpose.
Our client managers work closely with the RICS ‘Approved Insurers’ and their Underwriters and are familiar with the policy terms, wordings, exclusions and the extras to arrange a strong package of insurance at a competitive price.
Once we have a completed proposal we will know which insurers will best suit the firm and their risks. Our quotation service is quick and simple and cover can be arranged promptly soon after, including additional covers for office contents and liability.
